Enhance your Financial Management to Drive your Not-for-Profit Forward – Part 4

In our past blog posts you learned about some of the available features in Microsoft Dynamics GP that can be useful for your Not-for-Profit employees. Take advantage of all of the tools out there!

Here are a few features that come with the Business Essentials and Advanced Management Edition of your Microsoft Dynamics GP software.

Multicurrency Management

This feature is available in both the Business Essentials and Advanced Management Edition.  If your organization has multinational operations it will allow your users to manage the currency transactions easier and efficiently.

National Accounts

This feature is available in the Advanced Management Edition allowing users to establish an account relationship between donators.  A donator can be defined as the “parent” account allowing linking to donators under this account. Payments from the parent account can then be applied to the accounts linked to them.

Payables Management

This feature is available in both the Business Essentials and Advanced Management Editions.  Users can automate accounts payable tasks with reconciliation, payment scheduling and tracking.

Process Server

This feature is available for the Advanced Management Edition.  If some tasks are too intensive for your processor, you can move them onto a dedicated process server in order to stop slowing down users’ desktops.

Receivables Management

This feature is available in both the Business Essentials and Advanced Management Editions.  Users will be enabled to automate processes for finance charges, statements, and invoices to facilitate control of your accounts receivable.

Refund Checks

This feature is available in the Advanced Management Edition. To facilitate business processes, with this feature you can print refund checks directly within your software by debiting the donator and updating the ledger.

Revenue/Expense Deferrals

This feature is available in the Advanced Management Edition.   Users will be able to make future entries within the General Ledger, Payables Management, and many more allowing you to simplify distributing expenses and deferring revenues.

Risk Management Suite

This is an add-on feature that is available for both the Business Essentials and Advanced Management Editions.  Users will be able to use Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures functionalities.

Safe Pay

This feature is available in both the Business Essentials Edition and Advanced Management Editions. It will facilitate the Positive Pay functionality for tasks such as daily exporting of checks. Making sure your not-for-profit can make payments without risks.
